QUEST is Christian Rock band from Europe, Lithuania. It started in 1993 as "Rock of Salvation" and was the first "white metal" band in Lithuania. In 1996 QUEST released the first Christian metal album in country - "The Short Story". In 2001 the second album called "Kai ateina naktis" appeared. In both albums Christian ideas were proclaimed yet musically both projects sounded somewhat "rock'n'rollish" and "glamish" and embodied the best traditions of hard,n,heavy glam rock of eighties and nineties. With all praises of critics and fans albums did not become widely known in the country due to the lack of professional promotion of Christian music in Lithuania. Yet to the Lithuanian Christian audience the band is well-known because of it's uniqueness as Christian rock band, high quality of performance, and partly because of it's leader Benas Ulevicius who is speaker and musical performer in many Christian events and at the same time teaches Christian theology at the Faculty of Catholic Theology at Vytautas Magnus University. Now QUEST is working on the new album. This time band will demonstrate it's capability to play in so called "new metal" style. The main features of the album are going to be low and aggressive riffs of seven stringed guitar, active and pulsatory drums and bass, easy memorable structure of songs, aggressive yet at the same time melodic vocals. And, of course, the message remains the same: Salvation through Jesus Christ! Songs which will be included into the album are already verified by fans on different national stages and accepted extremely well. For almost fifteen years QUEST keeps on rockin’ for the (true) Rock! The band performed in almost all biggest national Catholic events. And it still does. In powerful language of heavy music it proclaims: Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World!
